Full Game « Thread Started on Sept 14, 2002, 4:32pm »
Does anyone have the full game? I got the Warez ISO Thursday night, but the only thing is, with it I can't play with people who bought the game. So I just want to know how many people have the warez version and who bought the full game. I dunno about forking out the $50 oddish for it, when I already have it. I dont fully understand why it doesnt work, I dont think it deals with the cd key, but I'm going to look into it more, and I hope to get some feed back.

I think that you should get the full game, as Warez is illegal (as you know). The authorities are cracking down on Warez, so if you are found with it on your PC, you'll get fined, inprisioned or something like that.

I'll pick up my copy on friday (Sep 20) when it is released here. If the problem isn't the cd-key, then maybe you forgot to patch it to 1.1?
My reasons for buying it:
1. It will be the best game since Half-life. 2. I want to make sure that I can play 24h a day without having to wait for a crack everytime a patch is released. 3. I will get my very own cd-key that works in net-games. 4. It's not everyday you get to support a swedish game developer.
I predict that this game will become like Half-life was (and still is). What I mean is that the lifespan of the game will reach over many years because of mods and patches, and during that period I don't want any troubles, and <$50 is a small price to pay imo.

Nordin: You must be joking. Well first off Warez is way to vast to every be shutdown. Warez is such a small part of internet crime its not even funny. I know someone personaly who works for the United States Department of Justice, and 99% of there cases deal with the big internet stalkers and child porn. Trust me, Warez will never EVER be stoped. Its way to vast and popular. Thats like saying Mettallica is going to sue everyone downloaded there music, ROFL! With that said, I have to make a few updates about BF1942, I played it at a lan about 11 v 11, and it was VERY FUN. But the only thing I have to say about it is with anymore people, even with a p4 1.8 512mb ram, 64mb geforce 2, it lags insanely. So on single player with over 20 bots, its unplayable, and my gfx aren't even turned on all the way, its at about medium. Also, the bots are so retarded its not even funny, they fly around in circles around your carrier for like the first five mins of each game, causing no more planes to spawn, and me personaly having to shoot them down. So I think the single player is a joke, if your looking for single player with bots go play UT2003, its much better. But the LAN play is very fun, but since I have't been yet to experice the internet play, I can't justify spending $50 to buy a game with just online play. I alreadty have 50% of the game (LAN play) and I paid $0 so why spend $50 for online? I find it very unreasonable. I'm yet to crack it for internet play, but trust me if this game gets bigger then CS and HL, think how many people are going to be working on cracking it, I'll keep you guys posted on the status of it.

First of I'm not buying the game for singelplayer, if the full game is as good as the demo advertises then I predict many hours of play every day. The only thing that's stoping me from joining those 32+ player games is my lack of RAM (256 Mb), and some performace lowering troubles with my bus-master drivers, and I have a 1,4 GHz AMD Athlon and GeForce 4 Ti4200 128Mb. I personally like warez. But I also believe that you should buy those 5 star games if you believe that you will be playing them alot. The prices on games today is to high for you to buy every game you like to play, so you have to save your money for that special game and support the "good" game developers (that's a matter of taste). I have bought many games in the past, but the time betwen buys increases with the prices. So the only thing I'm against about warez is the people that don't plan on buying any games at all and just leech of the community, and increase the prices for those who do buy a game from time to time.
